Panorama of the Mattole River Outlet on the Lost Caost

I just got back from another week on the Lost Coast and came back with some wonderful images.

Above is the Mattole River where it crosses the beach near Petrolia in the sunset.

I will be adding them to my Lost Coast and Vertorama galleries.

I have moved the site off of fatcow because it had become painfully slow. Now you can browse my galleries without growing old! What a relief!!!

I have put up a gallery of Vertoramas which is my name for vertical panoramas. These are images that have a wide field of view top to bottom often 160-180 degrees. For math challenged individuals like myself that is looking straight down to straight up.

Have a look at my work, help yourself to some free swag and if you can afford to buy a print please do as the proceeds allow me to spend the time to create more great pictures!!!!

What People are Saying about My Work...
Here are over a hundred comments from my e-bay auctions :)

The E-Bay feedback system really gives you a slice of life. I managed well except for one non-paying bidder that went a little over the edge.

Other then that everyone was very pleased with the quality and delivery of my work.

I will start doing some auctions again in the the fall for 4' and 6' pieces.

Camerawork for Film and Digital Photographers
This blog has video tutorials on a variety of photographic topics.

In Camerawork I discuss photographic topics that are not related to photoshop. I cover a wide variety of topics from camera technique through print spotting, finishing and presentation.

I have revised my popular “Stretching Canvas Ink Jet prints” to be more detailed with new and improved illustrations and a video demonstration.

This blog is also in a video format to make it a little less dry and hopefully make the material fun and easier to learn.

Through video screen capture I demonstrate some Photoshop techniques and channel chops for photographers.

If you like to learn by seeing the method demonstrated on video rather then by tedious step by steps this is the place for you.

Cooksey-Talbott Gallery is an online e-commerce gallery of nature photographs. The collection includes pictures of the High Sierra, Ansel Adams Wilderness, Yosemite, Trinity Alps, Sonora Pass, Santa Barbara Hills, East Bay Hills and Garin Park as well as hundreds of different waterfalls. Many of the images are from medium and large format film taken with the Mamiya RB-67 and a variety of 4x5 view cameras. Some of the more recent work is shot with a Nikon D200. We offer archival quality prints in a wide variety of sizes and on different media. We print on a variety of heavy art papers and canvas using an Epson 9600 printer with UltraChrome Photo Black Pigmented inks.

Ralph Cooksey-Talbott Thomas has been working as a photographer since 1972 when he moved to California from Michigan. During the 1970’s he studied under Ansel Adams in Yosemite. Ansel published one of his photographs in the portfolio section of his book "Polaroid Technique Manual." Ansel and Orah Moore, another of Ansel’s students, suggested that he shorten his name to Cooksey-Talbott, and that is the name he has worked under since. Cooksey also studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and the San Francisco Academy of Art. He has lectured in photography at the U.C. Berkeley Extension, Studio One in Oakland and at Santa Barbara City College.
