Small Waterfall

One day I had a nice walk down Deadman Creek on the western side of Sonora Pass right around the Blue Canyon hairpin.

This image has been altered with the Painter program to make it be more painterly. I love the old paintings of the west and this method sort of captures the feeling of that genre.

This ready to hang open edition print is a box mounted 7x10 on smooth fine art paper for 30.00.

Iceberg Lake

Iceberg Lake is a brilliant aquamarine tarn filled with glacial run off from the upper slopes of Mount Ritter.

It is a stiff climb up above the tree line from Lake Ediza in the Ansel Adams wilderness area.

The lake is surrounded on three sides by sheer glacial walls that feed its near freezing waters. It is in the alpine region so the surrounding landscape is a glacial moraine.

This photograph was taken on Kodak VPS 160 film with a 127mm lens using a Mamiya RB67 camera.

Twilight Meadow

Sometime in the 80's I was wandering around between Thousand Island Lake and Lake Ediza and I came through this wonderful meadow.

At that point I was carrying a large metal camera which shot 6x7cm negatives on film, needless to say I used Kodak film...

I have had this hanging in my room for several years and it is a delightful splash of sunny yellow.

This master was processed with Corel Painter to give it a painterly feeling.

Offered is a limited edition 24x31 gallery deep wrapped print on canvas. There may actually be 2 in stock on this, I see one every day and I believe one is in my storage, more news later when I open the storage...

Looking Down from Dade Peak Approach

"The first time I came to Little Lakes Valley we climbed all the way up to the Treasure Lakes at the base of Mt Dade.

The view looking down into the Little Lakes Valley was just wonderful!

The partial clouds gave the scene a good sense of depth while the color of the meadow and the lake served to define them as the center of interest.

I have altered this photograph to give it a more painterly quality and it was tremendously successful.

This photograph was taken on Kodak VPS 160 film with a 127mm lens using a Mamiya RB67 camera. "

This master was processed with Corel Painter to give it a painterly feeling.

Offered is a limited edition 24x31 gallery deep wrapped print on canvas for $350.00.
